FAQs

  • Absolutely! The more, the merrier (and hungrier). Non-members are welcome to join in the chili madness. Whether they’re here for the food, the fun, or just to critique your spice tolerance, bring them along. Just don’t forget to snag their tickets!

  • We’ve got you covered—kind of! Each chili chef self-reports their ingredients, so you’ll know if it’s vegan, gluten-free, or packed with fiery jalapeños. Look for ingredient cards at each station and taste responsibly (or with a glass of milk nearby).

  • We’ll miss you, but you can still help turn up the heat! Donate online or purchase our exclusive Digital Chili Cookbook—it's like a taste of the event without the sweat! (Distributed post-Cook-Off.)

And hey, you can always send a friend in your place to eat chili on your behalf (because that’s true friendship).

  • Pullen Park has plenty of parking, but it’s Chili Cook-Off day, so spots might fill up faster than a bowl of free chili!

Here’s the game plan: Aim for the main Pullen Park lot first (fingers crossed), but if that’s packed, head to the nearby overflow lots like the Governor Morehead School Parking Lot or the Coliseum Parking Deck.

Pro tip: carpool with your chili squad—it’s good for the environment and your sanity.
